Originality in television

Last night while watching tv, I saw an ad about Survivor South Africa.No jeff aint coming here...But Mnet has gone and copied them,around 14years to late,but hey at least they realised that survivor isnt a fad.

Its not the only program that we seem to have copied,Idols,weakest link,Friends like these the list goes on.Yes we have slight changes to the program,sometimes.Take Starmaker story for example. You take a voetsek ugly person,chuck them into the operating room and after that you teach them how to act.Yes its good viewing (or so ive been told) but Why not come up with something "Proudly south african"?

Is it that hard?It cant be,We've come up with Noot vir Noot,there must be some okes out there that are actually working on something.HURRY UP!

Im personally getting sick of watching south africans cock up a tv series,over and over and over.I cant stand Fiona,she is the worst hostess ever,Her humor is so planned,Her insults try and cut deep,but could be easily laughed off.She really could be replaced with someone else.

Thats how desperate we are to copy something thats brilliant.We found a clone! can you believe it.

I must say on a positive side,our tv adverts are the best in the world.Yes you get the odd foreign one that is funny.But mostly saffas kicks ass.We are just brilliant.Take the nando's and opel ad's they are just flippen funny.

So here's and idea,Gooi the okes that are making the ads in the program producers seats for a month,and check what happens.Whats the worst that could happen?
